The Building of Scout Den 2.0

A Picture Diary

Thanks to the funds that have been collected over the last twelve years, the new scout den is becoming a reality. The funds had been kept in a trust account under the VIOBA's name over the years. The rebuilding committee comprises of a motley crew from the Scouting Centenary dinner commitee. The contract is between the Nampell Group (ex VI84) and the VIOBA on behalf of the school. Kwek Keng Chye (VI86, and immediate past President of the VIOBA) is supervising the project on behalf of the school. The total contract is RM126,000. There is RM147,000 of collected funds with a few outstanding pledges. So there are extra funds for equipment but we can always do with more. The expected completion is mid-May subject to changes on the ground. The location of Scout Den 2.0 is behind the old Sixth Form block, right next to the road separating the school from Stadium Negara/ Old Coronation Park.
