April: Progress on the new school building on Petaling Hill is rapid, and each day seems to bring some appreciable change in the appearance of our new home. The brickwork is swiftly enveloping and concealing the iron pillars and supports, and within some rooms the brickwork is already being buried beneath a layer of cement. The builders are now busy on the first floor of the front block and the two side wings where the walls of the southern wing and part of the font are almost up to the eaves. The laboratories are not so far advanced, the hall is still a maze of naked steel and the woodwork room is ready for roofing. |
